Survival mode is an evolutionary response that protects you from danger. Sometimes you may experience 'flight or fight' even when you are not in danger, for example when you feel stressed. Staying the course in life is not about possessing superhuman willpower; it's about the habits you cultivate, maintain them day in and day out and keep them on track. Not all tasks are created equal; some are more important or urgent than others and should therefore be prioritized.
